Sarah Margaret Wade is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Art Therapist in Denver, Colorado. She has previously worked in Birmingham, Alabama as an Art Therapist, Clinical Therapist, and Mental Health Clinician at various communities including the psychiatric services department at Brookwood Baptist Health Hospital, A Center for Eating Disorders (ACED), and at the state organization on arts and disabilities, VSA Alabama. Additionally, she spent a year in Anchorage, Alaska working with Volunteers of America at their residential ARCH program for youth with addictions and chemical dependency.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in 2006 from Samford University (Birmingham, AL) in Fine Art and Interior Design. She received a Masters of Education (M.Ed.) in Counseling and Personnel Services with a concentration in Art Therapy from the University of Louisville in 2009 (Louisville, KY). Sarah Margaret has worked with a wide spectrum of individuals diverse in age, developmental level, and abilities. She has experience working with pediatric cancer patients and their families, seniors with Alzheimer’s and dementia, adults with mental illness, adolescents with addictions and eating disorders as well as children and adults with cognitive and developmental delays.
