Hope Tree Mural

During the summer, I frequented the Amelia Center to work on a mural I began in the playroom. Occasionally I’d be painting for several hours, while other times I’d go for a short 45 minutes. Eventually, I completed it and was asked to write up the story about the mural’s development and it’s meaning for me personally. Below are images that show progress from start to finish:

A door that can be walked through…

I’ve had some time to rest following Art Walk 2012 and the launch of our new website. Today, without any sort of conscious effort, my thoughts are occupied with considering the future physical home of Art Stories Studio–to which I hope and pray will be in existence sooner than later. Oftentimes, I find that in a world of fast transactions and hurried daily tasks, my mind gets ahead of my heart. In my head, there is a to-do list a mile long that somehow grows even as things are crossed off the list! My heart is content to not get swept away in the busy quandary.
